Where are all the rocks?

When I told Jonathan we were going to the lake, he told me he was going to throw rocks in the lake, accompanied by a rock throwing gesture with his little arm. I tried to explain that the lake was frozen, covered with ice and snow, but got nowhere. So when we got there, I had to take him down to the lake to show him.
