Victor's Birthday Party

We took Victor and his friends down to the lake to celebrate his 11th birthday, because there is a nice outdoor rink near our cottage where they could play hockey. He really had a fun birthday party!

Let's play hockey!!!

Even Daddy played hockey (a rare event!)

Johnny playing goalie.

This is the way they choose teams--put everybody's hockey sticks in a pile, and have someone close their eyes, then put one stick to one side, the next stick to the other side, etc. Whoever's sticks end up together are on the same team.

The whole team--Larry (the tall one in back :), Kale & Alec, Jayden, Victor, Johnny and Sam

Demonstrating how you can eat baby carrots while wearing a hockey helmet.

I can top that--I can eat a potato chip!

The skating's done

Katie really impressed the boys by showing them how she could pick up a 1000 pc. puzzle without having any pieces fall off.

Birthday cake!

Eleven candles

Victor got the piece of the cake with the "V" on it. Katie wrote "Happy B-day, V-man"

Now the presents

We were so happy Amy got in on part of Victor's party. She was just on her way home from Florida that day!
