Studio Renovations

We are making great progress on the studio, thanks to a dedicated team of carpenters, electricians and plumbers. Larry has been great at overseeing the project. It wouldn't be happening without him! Here are a few pictures of what's going on.

This is the main room downstairs that will serve as an office/reception area.

When we removed the blue pegboard, we found this great brick wall!

A little plug for Hendrickson Electric (no pun intended.) If you need electrical work, these are the guys for the job!

He always manages to have a good time, no matter what he's doing!

Coaxing a smile out of Dave.

And a half smile from Danny

Seriously, Larry has worked very hard. Here he is removing the plaster (or something) that covered the brick

More camaraderie between the guys

You gotta do something to try to make this stuff look interesting!

Other big news: the bathroom is being installed this week!

Out For a Walk

We have a tradition at Emily's house of always going out for a walk after dinner. They live in the Nebraska Sandhills, and it's a beautiful location. They have their very own walking/4-wheeler riding trail.

The kitty was going along for the walk, but after getting handled like this, decided she wanted no part of it and headed back to the house!

Uh-oh! Jonathan lost a boot!

Trey's going to help him get it back on.

We weren't going to let the little boys go along on the walk, because they would slow us down, so Grandpa Kon agreed to walk with them. I followed along with my camera, and we soon found that we couldn't keep up with them!

I was trying to get them to go under this tree together, but after many attempts, I finally gave up.

Jonathan and Trey were picking up sticks, and it got to be a little competive who could find the biggest one. Looks like Trey won!

Sticks are multi-purpose

We encountered some sneaky camoflauged hunters along the trail. Turns out they were spying on us the whole time!

Some of the crew went 4-wheeler riding as well.

Food and Family

Isn't food and mealtime central to every family get-together? So many memories are made around the table.

Grandpa Kon dishes up the peas.

Emily got stuck between the two little boys. (Actually, I think she volunteered!) Jonathan was keeping a close eye on Trey's plate and telling him to eat, the little hypocrite!
