Jonathan's 4th Birthday

We celebrated Jonathan's 4th birthday on Feb. 22. Actually we started celebrating on Feb. 21 and made it last for a few days!

We thought it was pretty special that Jonathan and his teacher share the same birthday, so I had to take a cake to pre-school!

Yes, Jonathan got to go to McDonald's for his birthday! We met Grandma Irene there, who came for the weekend.

This was a game that Jonathan got Grandma to play. He would shoot the ball, and if he missed, the animals would cry. If he made it, they would clap and cheer!

Lighting the candles on the birthday cake.

Looks yummy!

We were trying to get Jonathan to pose for a picture, so Victor is demonstrating.

Blowing out the candles...

It was quite a process!

The presents

He got his very own Queen "laptop"

He pointed to a picture of Handy Manny and told me he wanted to put a crayon under his ear like Handy Manny do!

All business

How absolutely adorable... Your photos encourage me to keep practicing! I've become pretty discouraged with the limits of my camera lately, so I haven't wanted to take pictures. I think I'll start again though. :) Of course this blog made me wish I could have been there. Little J is getting all grown up! I got a kick out of the "game" he played with Grandma. Probably something that was a lot more fun for him than it was for her. I also liked the picture of him at preschool. He looks so proud of himself... #1 because him and Mrs. Heisler share a birthday, and #2 because who wouldn't feel good wearing that crown! (I can still remember the delight of my little 5 year old head in it.) Thanks for sharing. :)

What a nice post of JJ's b'day. I esp liked the pictures of him blowing out the candles and right after. I seems like last yr that you brought him home from Guatemala, and here he's already 4. Wow...and...my friend Victor is a good big brother! Love, Bonnie
